With the departure of the incumbent, this is now an open seat.
It's time to start a new chapter.

John Tibbetts will - 

• Work hand-in-hand with local boards, commissions and state officials to bring solid good-paying jobs for Turner and Tift counties.
• Fight to restore adequate funding for public education. Over the past 7 years the legislature has cut more than $2.5 billion from education, furloughs are rampant, and classroom size has gone up.
• Work diligently to allow locally elected boards and commissions to govern locally; to stop unfunded mandates that require counties and cities to take on additional responsibilities without providing adequate funding; and to fight all attempts to allow the transfer of our water to another region of the state.

I pledge to be a leader who will work across the aisle to improve the lives of all Georgians.
